Are The World
The film made to
accompany the release of We Are the World was a video account of
the historic recording session attended by over 30 artists to aid
famine relief in Ethiopia. Narrated by Jane Fonda, with
appearances by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Harry
Belafonte, Quincy Jones, Willie Nelson, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross
and a cast of thousands, sales of the video were also earmarked
for the famine relief effort which resulted in over $60 million
being contributed to aid Ethiopia.
