Oxford News
According to a recent wire report (released at 02:42 PM New York Time), Michael Jackson broke his foot in a fall at his Neverland Valley Ranch, just days before he is due to speak at the famous Oxford Union.

the report continues: "But the Thriller superstar promised fans the injury would not stop him making his one-off child welfare speech at the university debating chamber. He is now resting with his right leg in plaster up to the knee."

More than 20,000 people have applied to see Jackson, making it the most popular appearance by a guest speaker in the union's 178-year history. He will be joined by his mentor, former Oxford University Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, who is the president and co-founder of the Heal The Kids initiative.

While in England next month, Michael Jackson will be staying at the Lanesborough Hotel in the center of London.

Michael Jackson at Carnegie Hall
On February 14, 2001, Michael Jackson's Heal The Kids Foundation and The Seminar Center presented a panel of children's experts and celebrities in a lively, insightful and entertaining discourse about romantic love, family devotion and professional dedication: "Love, Work and Parenting: Can You Be A Success In The Bedroom, Boardroom and Family Room?"

The seminar was seen a success by the fans present. At the end one reporter asked a very young child what she learned this evening. She said, "I learned that if you have a child, you have to care for them and pay a lot of attention to them....and it doesn't matter what race they are."

Michael's speech was very eloquent. He began to cry at one point when talking about the needs of children.

Michael looked well and arrived in a black Jeep Cherokie type car through a back entrance where fans awaited him with signs, banners, gifts, flowers and chants. The media, including the program "Extra" and local news filmed many of the fans.
